Toy Staff Picks: Selection Process

The National STEAM Association employs a meticulous process to select new toys for its monthly ‘Staff Picks’ feature. The selection committee begins by evaluating each toy’s potential to engage and educate. It considers the toy’s ability to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning, as well as its capacity to stimulate critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity in children. Additionally, the committee takes into account the toy’s safety, age-appropriateness, and overall quality. The chosen toys represent a diverse range of STEM concepts and have been tested and recognized as exceptional tools for fostering a love for learning and innovation among young minds. By featuring these toys as ‘Staff Picks,’ the National STEAM Association aims to highlight the best educational playthings that contribute to the development of well-rounded, curious, and future-ready individuals.
